Autoresponders automatically send a sequence of pre-written educational or promotional emails on a schedule you set. Auto-responders also track clicks and user activity in the body of the email. Successful internet marketers use autoresponders to automate their online business.
Every time an internet marketer wants to boost sales of their new product or service, they will send an email to their customer list and introduce their new product or service. Most of your email list subscribers, if you have established a relationship with them, will usually make a purchase within the first email or two. All other email subscribers will receive a different set of emails custom built to increase their buying temperature. These subscribers require some time to develop their interest and confidence (as well as the motivation) to invest their money in what the internet marketer is trying to sell.
Autoresponders make it easy for an internet marketer to add their large number of prospects to the autoresponder email list. It is also possible to build a huge email list when subscribers opt in to your email list. Autoresponders will help internet marketers understand what motivates their subscribers to take action. Once the internet marketer separates his subscribers into different groups, it becomes easier for him to send personalized emails to different groups. Subscribers to some group may buy any product by hearing the initial hype around the product. Some other subscribers are looking to get things that cost little or no money.
If you’re new to autoresponders, try investing in an autoresponder service like aweber.com or GetResponse.com. You can always get tech support once you’re a paid customer (most will also offer limited tech support for free trial offers, because they want you to become a paid subscriber)! The customer service representative will guide you step by step on how to set up your subscriber list and initial campaigns.
These autoresponder services will also have tons of videos that will teach you a lot about email marketing. Be sure to ask customer support about any upcoming email marketing-related webinar training they’re hosting. Auto responder services run webinar training almost every month and it’s a great opportunity to learn more about funeral marketing and email marketing.
Most people won’t give out their email addresses like they used to, so you need to give your customers something valuable in exchange for their emails. If a person is looking for weight loss tips, then offer them in an informative video or eBook titled “Lose 2 Pounds Every Week By Drinking Homemade Juice Every Morning” or something similar. You need to offer something that sounds easy for them to do with fantastic results. NOTE: Be truthful in your claims! Don’t offer an outrageous claim of success. Something like, “Take this pill every night, sleep 18 hours a day, and lose 900 pounds in a month, guaranteed!” You will look silly; you’ll look like you’re lying (which you are) and you’ll probably be in trouble with the authorities at some point in the near future.
If you are offering a solution that is easy for the customer to implement right now and the customer (who is overweight) sees the potential of your product (because they want to lose their weight as soon as possible with very little effort), you can convince them to try your product.
This means that you must have an effective signup page for your new customers. To do this, you need to do some research in your niche and find out what drives them; what is your greatest need; what is the motivation even to search for your product. Once you know what drives them, you can use the knowledge you learn to help them sell your product to them. Remember, you MUST deliver value to your customer. If you don’t deliver value to your customer (or what your customer perceives as value), you’ll soon be facing a lot of chargebacks and your reputation will be ruined.
Make sure that the first email you send to your prospect is always informative and helps solve the problem they are facing. Craft your first 2 emails in a way that the reader finds out that you’re really trying to help them. In your third email, write about the product you are selling. If you are a product affiliate, you should always create your own mini sales page, as product owner sales pages are often generalized to serve customers in a broad niche. If you can find the core problems customers face, create a mini sales page and focus your sales letter on just that one problem. Once they sign up for your email list, send them to the sales page for the affiliate product you’re promoting.
To be successful in internet marketing, you need to constantly improve your traffic sources and find new ones. You also need to learn how to write your emails in such a way as to build trust and respect in the eyes of your customers; generate interest in your product and prepare your potential customer to make a purchase of your product or services.
Remember this rule: ALWAYS deliver value for your customer FIRST! Only then will you be financially rewarded in the end. If you focus on the money aspect first, more often than not you will miss what you were looking to achieve.
