Yangshuo is not only a backpacker’s paradise, but also a very interesting and exciting place to visit. It is located in the northeast of Guangxi province and southeast of Guilin. With a long history of 1,400 years, Yangshuo has been a dream place for many tourists who want to see the beautiful natural scenery and the real Chinese rural life.
Yangshuo has so much to see that it’s hard to tell which are the best places. Big Banyan Tree Park and Moon Hill are two very famous places in Yangshuo that you won’t want to miss seeing. Visitors can climb to the top of Moon Hill via the 900 stone stairs to see the fantastic panoramic view of Yangshuo. Be sure to bring your camera for this.
Another fascinating activity in Yangshuo is the open-air evening performance “Third Sister Liu’s Impression”. It has the world’s largest natural stage and is built on the Li River, which stretches for 2 kilometers with 12 mountain peaks as its background. All the artists are local, mostly of Zhuang and Yao origin, and more than 600 people play in the performance. You won’t want to leave Yangshuo without going to this spectacular.
The popular sights of Yangshuo:
West Street: a 600 meter long cobbled street with all kinds of western bars, cafes and restaurants, Chinese art shops and clothing stalls. It becomes an informal symbol of Yangshuo due to its unique blend of Eastern and Western cultures.
Xingping Old Town – Guilin to Yangshuo Cruise One of the highlights of the Li River Cruise is near Xingping City, which is the 27 kilometers to Yangshuo with 1300 years of history.
