The problems of forgetting to brush your hair regularly and letting your hair tangle is far worse than the pain of untying your hair. When you allow your hair, particularly long hair, to get tangled, you’re doing a lot more damage than you think. There’s the obvious pain of detangling it, and then all the breakage this will cause, especially if you have to brush it wet, but it does make the hair very weak. It causes split ends and frizzy, weak, dull hair and then you will have to spend hundreds of pounds buying hair products and hair masks just to get it looking good again.
The damage done by vigorous brushing is grossly underestimated. If you want to have beautiful, shiny, and healthy hair, you need to make sure it doesn’t get tangled. This is so much easier than the hours most of us spend combing our hair. Just use a good conditioner and brush every night before bed, if you’re particularly prone to tangles, tie your hair up when you sleep. There are several products on the market, sprays and conditioners that are specially designed to stop the tangle, and that is what you want, to stop it. Don’t just fix it when it gets gnarly, but prevent it from happening in the first place!
Doing this will keep your hair healthy, stop breakage, and make it shinier. Just like skin, attractive hair really is healthy hair! So remember to brush your teeth AND your hair before you go to bed.
