I have three lovely ideas for displays. Sometimes it seems like a daunting and difficult task to come up with new ideas for displays. I always welcome fun and unique ideas for displaying flower and plant designs. I anticipate that you will enjoy them. Hope they are useful for your store too.
1) Start with some wire mesh. Cut a piece large enough so that when connected in a circle it will have a 10-11 “circle. Set up a clear plant tray that is large enough to go over the wire mesh cage you just made. your first wire pedestal. Make at least five of these at different heights to complete a display area. This type of display piece would be perfect for silk flower arrangements, basket gardens, or gift baskets of different kinds. For a garden look to these pedestals, place herbs in clay pots on the pedestals and accent around the cages with herb and garden books for sale, flower seeds, and garden tools – maybe even potting soil and baskets. Very unique and interesting. Place several of these three to five pedestal displays around your store. Also these wire cages could be used for a large window display. summer ana. Accents with plants and folk art from the countryside. Stuffed animals would be very cute around these cages, maybe cows, ducks, bunnies, and chickens.
2) I like to use wooden boxes for display. My clients even want to buy the boxes themselves and I have sold them. These can easily be made from a pack of lathes and scrap lumber of the size you choose for the top and bottom. I put some boxes upright and others on their side. The boxes can also be covered with fabric to give them a little color. Gardens of dishes, silk arrangements, pottery, and baskets fill the boxes nicely. These boxes are so versatile; they can be used on display for just about anything.
3) Showcase shower curtains. No, I’m not crazy, yet … Shower curtains come in so many designs and colors. They can be a great backdrop for that special display. They are quite inexpensive and can be used, put away, and taken out again for a different use. Think about what you want to highlight in your flower shop. You could even shop at thrift stores for this type of backdrop. Just make sure the shower curtain is bright and clean. Next, take some craft foam and cut out some different sized circles. Spray paint them in a matching color. Poke two holes in each circle, facing each other, and thread clear fishing line through the holes.
These circles can be hung from the ceiling at different heights. Place potted silk green plants you have for sale in the circles. Use it as a display for seasonal holidays like Valentine’s Day, placing red, white, pink, and lavender all in the circles. Use some of the wooden boxes from display tip # 2 above at the bottom for the bottom half of the display, and use the hanging circles that show your Valentine designs. The boxes can be spray painted red, white, pink, etc. as necessary. Bring it all together with the matching background shower curtain, matching boxes, and hanging circles to show off your highlights.
Look around. While driving, while walking, while shopping, see objects in a different way. An old door can be a great backdrop for a dried flower wreath. Paint a window display, set it on an easel, and use it to display earrings for quick additions to the sale. Look around you and you will find treasures that you can use to make your florist unique.
