Do you want Google, Yahoo and Bing to notice your site? I’d like to share some quick and easy tips to help your site rank better on big search engines like Google. Anyone can follow these quick and easy tips to increase their position in the top three search engines.
Tip #1: If you have not yet submitted your site to Google, Bing or Yahoo. I know some of you have already done this, but it is imperative that these search engine bots recognize your content and links. It can take 48 hours and up to two weeks to find your site indexed.
Tip #2: Analyze your keywords and title tags on your site. The Internet is a very competitive market. It is important to research your keyword titles. The chances of your site standing out depend on your titles, content, and keywords. Keywords can be analyzed using the Google Keyword Tool. The trick is to focus on keywords that have more than 2,000 visitors with less than 50 million competition. For more detailed analysis, there are products like Market Samurai and Micro Niche Finder that can give you the best advantage.
Tip #3: Write and publish articles about your site. With article directory sites like EzineArticles, your site’s content can be distributed through quality articles that describe the purpose of your site. It is also important to include rich keywords about your site within the article. There are a number of other article directories that you can use to submit your work. Remember that the more articles you post, the more likely it is that the big three search engines will pick up your article with a route back to your site. When you post an article, there is a place for a backlink to your site which will direct more visitors to your site.
Tip #4: Start building backlinks to your site. There are several ways to create backlinks to your site. Start by joining forums of interest to your site. Whenever you post or reply to topics, you can include a backlink to your site. Also, there are a number of bookmarking sites that allow you to add your URL for free. Some examples are Digg.com and Fark.com. An overlooked way to make a backlink is to post and answer questions on popular sites like Yahoo Answers. Again, you can include your site link in your signature.
