Porsche With 7 Seats
When the first Cayenne was launched back in 2002 many purists threw their hands up and said that Porsche could never make money selling an SUV. However, the German manufacturer proved everyone wrong by selling more than 1.7 million units of their flagship high-rider. They went on to offer a smaller alternative known as the Macan 12 years later in 2014 and both models remain popular with people who want a bit more room to fit their family. But both are two-row SUV’s and as such, Porsche currently doesn’t have a 3rd row vehicle in their lineup.
Despite this, the company is rumored to be working on a three-row mega-SUV that they plan to launch in 2026. Codenamed ‘Landjet’ or ‘K1’ this new EV is supposed to be larger than the existing Cayenne and Macan SUVs and offer Buy Porsche car seats for up to seven passengers.
It will reportedly be based on the VW Group’s Scalable Platform and will take on the likes of the Audi Q8, BMW X5, Mercedes GLE and Land Rover Discovery. Porsche CEO Oliver Blume revealed this information in a July interview with Autocar.
Is There a Porsche With 7 Seats?
The British magazine reports that the new SUV will be longer than the current Cayenne. It will have a raised coupe silhouette and a raked D-pillar which will give it a sportier look. The front-end will be influenced by the Taycan and will have a more aggressive appearance with bigger air intakes. The rear end will have a sleek LED taillight design.
While it’s still a few years off, we’re excited to hear about this development from Porsche. The German company is already a dominant force in the SUV market and they’re not afraid to push the envelope with their engineering and technology. They are also well-known for their quality and build so we can’t wait to see what the Landjet is all about when it finally does arrive.
