The school is a place where the child learns and obtains the maximum knowledge and growth during the learning process. It is also a place where your hidden potentials are harnessed. This learning process for a child begins when the parents send the child to kindergarten and continues through college where she receives her graduation or graduate degree.
As we clearly see that a child spends about 6-7 hours a day throughout the year (except vacations) in school, it is obvious that teachers have a great role to play in raising children.
Since a child can easily be molded in the right way like clay in a potter’s hand, it is important to understand that teachers can correct the child’s behavior and character, when and where necessary. You can also shape the child’s personality by being a role model in raising children at school.
As children are very loving, innocent, adaptable and docile, it becomes mandatory for teachers to have both professional competence and very strong moral background, as they can gradually influence and shape the personality of each child with gentle persuasion.
As most of the children have great respect for their teachers, this advantage should be used properly to correct, counsel and nurture the children by guiding them during the different challenging situations and circumstances encountered in the classrooms.
Also, a teacher is a second parent to each of her students. Whether the child is very young or adolescent, a teacher must be effective in her approach by being impartial, loving, and at the same time leading by example in all of her endeavors.
As the teacher has a vital role to play in the life of a student, it is correct to say that they are the people who could create generations together. In short, they are somehow the builders of our nation since they are exposed to a mass of students who are the future citizens of the country. Therefore, it is very crucial and elementary for teachers to guide and influence students properly in all walks of life, no matter it is in a classroom or even outside of the classroom.
Teachers should also inspire their students to develop a great personality, whether they become an architect, an engineer, a doctor, a teacher, a businessperson, or in any profession of their interest. They must also shape them to contribute to society by being upstanding citizens of our nation.
The main role a teacher could play is to make their class very interesting by involving almost all the students by asking questions or discussing a topic. The more participation, the more the child learns. In this way learning becomes easier and more interesting.
Also, even outside of the classroom, she needs to continue to influence and correct the children by building their character in all aspects of life.
However, it is worth stating that students can be successful in life if parents also provide the same support at home.
